Who is ?

Our team of Human Resource Management and employment law experts have many years experience as Human Resource professionals within multinational corporations, as industrial relations consultants and as general management consultants serving a wide range of industries.

We have wide ranging experience of many of the typical people-related issues and problems facing companies in Ireland and have many examples and options of tried and proven procedures for the resolution of regular and exceptional Human Resource related circumstances.

Pat Sheridan, Managing Director of , has spent the last thirty years as a Human Resource Manager with American, French and Japanese multinational companies in the healthcare, food processing, mechanical and electrical engineering industries.

He has also worked with the Irish Business & Employers Confederation (IBEC) as an Industrial Relations Consultant, servicing approximately three hundred individual companies (manufacturing/service) providing Human Resource and Industrial Relations advice, direct negotiations with trade unions, assistance with HR strategic planning, preparation of a wide variety of cases for client companies and representing the client companies in the Labour Court, Rights Commission and Labour Relations Commission. He also prepared detailed briefing documents for solicitors and barristers on employment law issues which were referred to the High Court.

Pat has lectured in Human Resource Management in UCC and regularly writes for RecruitIreland.com and CorporateTraining.ie as well as contributing articles to a number of other publications.

Pat is the author of Human Resource Management: A Guide for Employers which was published in May 2007, in association with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and Oak Tree Press. Further details available here >>.

Since 1993 Pat has operated a management consultancy company. Typical assignments include:

• Industrial relations problem resolution.
• Investigation and resolution of bullying and harassment cases and the preparation of investigative and resolution procedures for these issues.
• Investigation and resolution of various management issues.
• Major recruitment and executive sourcing assignments in Ireland and abroad.
• Employee to employee problem resolution as a facilitator and management coach.
• Assessment of cases referred to external Industrial Relations thrid parties, such as the Rights Commissioner, Employment Appeals Tribunal, etc and representation of clients at hearings.
• Negotiations with employees, representative bodies and trade unions.
• Facilitating groups to investigate and bring about productive change.
• Development of HR related policies, practices and procedures for client companies.
• Preparation and presentation of training programmes for managers and supervisors.
• Outplacement development programme for managers.

Over the past number of years, he has developed, in conjunction with the team, a new Human Resource support service model to provide a more cost-effective and comprehensive Human Resource service for companies. This service is particularly relevant for companies who have no in-house Human Resource Management.
